The moon is full, Samhain is nigh, and The Witch Wave with Pam Grossman is turning 10!
In this live show, Pam leads a Samhain ritual, answers a Witch Wire question from Jinkx Monsoon, and leads a conversation about modern witchery with three trailblazing witches: Robin Rose Bennett, Phyllis Curott, and Judika Illes. Music is provided by Kelli Scarr throughout, and cellist Aaron Neber joins for a rendition of an ancient Pagan hymn. It’s a spirited celebration for 10 seasons of The Witch Wave!
Robin Rose Bennett is a green witch and world-renowned expert in herbalism who has been offering WiseWoman Healing Ways: Herbal Medicine and EarthSpirit Teachings since 1986. She is also an accomplished author of several books including Healing Magic, The Gift of Healing Herbs, and her forthcoming novel, EarthSong (March 2027). She also happens to be Pam's teacher with whom she apprenticed beginning in 2012.
Phyllis Curott is a Wiccan high priestess and attorney whose groundbreaking cases secured the legal rights of Witches. She is founder and high priestess of the Temple of Ara, one of the oldest Wiccan congregations in the United States. And she is the author of several books on witchcraft including the bestselling Book of Shadows which when Pam read it in 2009 changed the trajectory of her life.
Judika Illes is an editor and author of numerous, deeply researched and highly renowned tomes on spellcasting and witchlore, including wildly comprehensive (and massive) The Encyclopedia of Witchcraft and The Encyclopedia of 5000 Spells. As a teacher, lecturer, and tarot reader, Judika is an encyclopedia of witchcraft unto herself.
Kelli Scarr is a twice Emmy-nominated composer, multi-instrumentalist, and vocalist based in New York, known for her emotive, organic approach to film scoring. Beyond film, Kelli has collaborated with a wide range of artists, including a long-standing partnership recording and touring with Moby, and she has released four solo albums including No Rush and Greater Mysteries.
Aaron Neber is a musician who plays multiple instruments, including cello which he provided for this evening's performance. He makes music under the name Our Neighbor, and albums include Ostentatious Invitations and a wedge, a wedge.
